Welcome to Biscuit Land – Book Review
Welcome to Biscuit Land is a funny, informative and amazing story of Jessica Thom, AKA Touretteshero. The book is written as a diary of a year in Jessica Thom’s life, detailing what it is like to live with Tourette Syndrome.
The book is named Welcome to Biscuit Land as Jess has a verbal tic where she says ‘Biscuit’ around 16 times per minute, around 6 million times a year! She often states she has no obsession with biscuits and has had no traumatic experiences with biscuits, and it is this funny attitude with which the book is written. An inspiring tale of the ups and downs of living with Tourette’s, including insights into her support networks of family and friends and how she deals with peoples views of her condition, both positive and negative. The book is an inspiring read and I’d definitely recommend picking up a copy!
