Experience of being a Research Assistant
Since last year I have been working on a project with academics at my current university. The project was looking at wellbeing and nature within a local charity who use ecotherapy interventions for individuals with a range of difficulties, mental health problems and disabilities as well as ex-offenders.
My role as research assistant was to collect literature, help with ethical approval and survey design and data collection/analysis. I also created this academic poster (below) for a conference on the projects.
Working with the charity was an extremely rewarding experience and the project has been very interesting and helped me develop my own skills with my own studies and research. It was also a great experience working with academics and learning about the research process.
