Beating anxiety

During the current pandemic, the majority of the population are experiencing mental health decline due to lack of social support and many other buffers to mental health that we received pre-pandemic! I thought it would be nice to share some of my top tips for helping to manage stress and beat anxiety.
Definitely make sure you are getting enough sleep, eating healthily and exercising. These all have big impacts on our mental health so it’s vital we look after ourselves which in turn can help with anxiety.
I’d suggest trying to keep organised. Planning the day ahead and make use of calendars and to-do lists to manage time effectively and also make sure you factor in breaks for yourself too!
When you’re feeling anxious try stopping and doing something you enjoy, like a favourite hobby or watching your favourite show, this can help relieve some of the pressures and help you tackle things again when you feel calmer.
And most of all just remember that it’s okay to not feel okay sometimes and take some time out for yourself too!
